Learning continues when applications are closed

Week 1 covers sources and eligibility, Week 2 a mini artefact, Week 3 feedback and safety, Week 4 a second version and application file.

Without an open call, the board prepares for the future; with an open call, add exact deadlines and owners.

COMPARISON WORKSHOP

Comparison workshop for Scholarships, Loans and Project Support

The 4 scholarship/support entries in this centre do not serve the same purpose. For example, GSB/KYK Scholarship and Student Loan Application Guide and Directorate General of Foundations Education Support and Scholarship Guide differ in age, preparation time, individual/team work and expected evidence. Sorting cards only by open or closed status is therefore insufficient.

Choose three candidates for a comparison exercise: GSB/KYK Scholarship and Student Loan Application Guide, Directorate General of Foundations Education Support and Scholarship Guide, ÜNİDES University Student Community Project Support Guide. For each, record eligibility, weekly time, travel or internet needs, required learner work, data-safety risks and post-application obligations. Do not punish an unknown field with a zero score; mark it to be verified.

In a second round, record the learner's genuine preference in a separate column. An opportunity that looks strong to an adult should not score highly if it relies on an unwanted mode of work, intensive travel or an unsustainable time burden. Learner preference also does not override official eligibility and safety.

Reopen the centre at month end. Update changed opportunities, carry closed calls into next-year preparation and select completed artefacts for the portfolio. The centre then operates as a monthly decision and production board rather than a random link list.

DEEP COMPARISON

Why are opportunities in one centre not interchangeable?

KYK scholarship/loan, VGM scholarships and ÜNİDES project support are not the same type of finance. A KYK result can be a non-repayable scholarship or repayable loan; VGM depends on annual education-support conditions; ÜNİDES funds a recognised community project rather than an individual's living costs. Amounts cannot be compared before purpose and obligations are separated.

Maintain four tables in the support file: eligibility and exclusions, required documents, post-result obligations and the secure application channel. Education records, YÖKSİS/e-Government data, community approval or undertakings should be checked before applications open rather than on the final day.

Use ₺ consistently in generic Turkish-context learning blocks, but obtain official support amounts only from dated institutional announcements. Do not assume last year's amount for a new cycle. Fake consultancy, payment requests and requests to send documents to a personal account are immediate red flags.

EVIDENCE ARCHIVE

What is kept after the result?

The file does not close after a positive result. Add banking details, undertakings, continuation conditions, achievement requirements, reporting, spending evidence or repayment to the calendar. These obligations differ substantially by support type.

A negative result should not become a judgement about personal worth. Recheck eligibility, documents, quota and assessment criteria, then add other official support, university scholarships or cost-reduction options to the same budget file.

MICRO QUIZ

Check opportunity selection

1. How is current status verified?

By checking date, call/guide version and application screen together on the official site.

2. How is an unknown condition recorded?

Do not guess; mark it to be verified and ask the institution.

3. Why store learner work by version?

To show real contribution, development, errors and the boundary of adult support.

4. Is a deadline recorded only as a date?

No; keep exact time, time zone, upload method and confirmation.

5. When should the Scholarships, Loans and Project Support page be revisited?

When a new announcement, result, date or learner artefact changes.
